The speakers were all radical communists types. I agree with them, but their speeches are so boring. they should copy the entertainment value of the NOW rallies, but have more radical content.

I was struck by the size of the croud, given that it was an hour walk from the closest subway station, due to road closures. Fortunately, I had scoped it out ahead of time and knew how to get there with minimal delay.

In my first gig as recording TA, I set up a mic over the banister in the library to record some Tibetan Monks below. I wish I had a copy of that tape, cuz the temple horns are wild. And damn it, I forgot to put the recorder away.

The monks are in residence at the library making a Mendala. On september 11, they're going to put all the sand in a jar and throw it in the river, as a rembrance of those who died 3 years ago.

Aleck is the music librarian. He gets the tapes of concerts when I'm done recording them. He'll also order any score or recording that the library ought to have. He's awesome.

The tunnels under the CFA, between the concert hall and the practice rooms. There's apuddle on the floor because they leak in the rain. And they're below the water table. And it's perplexing why so much of the CFA is so deep underground when the area was known to be swampy.

The CFA tunnels. This connects the music department to the other arts buildings, including some used by film students. I bet this tunnel has been a set of many student movies.
