Zwarte Piet is often rendered in chocolate (as is Sinter Claus) and is often found on chocolate letters, which seem to be a traditional gift.

Large Zwarte Piets in a flower shop in Den Haag.
With the lighting and their placement, they sort of resemble a creature from Little Shop of Horrors when I see them out of the corner of my eye as I bike past daily.

The top of a giant, winged Zwarte Piet hanging from the ceiling of the store, in the very middle. This larger than life animatronic puppet spun around, while flapping it arms/wings, kicking it's feet and raising and lowering by several floors. The silver key on the back seems to represent a wind-up toy.

These children are dressed as Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet. Costumes are popular for children here.
Unlike other costume images, the Zwarte Piet child is not in blackface or a black mask.

The chocolate Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet avoid the use of racist images.
Although Hema used pictures of an old man for Santa, they avoided having any human representation of Zwarte Piet at all (aside from kids in costumes). Also, unlike any other place in the Netherlands which has both Sinterklaas and Piet, Sinterklaas is featured more prominently and the depictions of him vastly outnumber the depictions of Zwarte Piet.
