Check out the packaging of the Women Take Back the Noise compilation. The program notes are on a set of glossy postcard sized papers, double sided. The flower on the outside of the back is actually a crackly box. If you hold down a metal tab and wiggle the metal spike in the flower center, it makes squealing noises and a little led lights up. the whole compilation is creative commons licensed, but the packaging is so compelling, it provides a strong reason for folks to want to buy the physical package. The whole thing was designed in such a way as to maximize exposure for the artists involved. Very well done!
In addition to the awesome concept and packaging, the music is fantastic too, which, of course, is the point.
