This is one of the stations of the cross. Jesus falls twice in the stations. I don't know if this is the first of the second time.
This shows the religious roots of the Great Benguinage.
Bengiunages were originally for women widowed by the crusades, but then became monastic settlements for women. Today, this one is used mostly as student housing for the large university in town (the oldest in BeNeLux).
