There are two needle-type (I don't know the difference between pine and fir) trees on campus that lost all their needles last fall. Now the needles are coming back.
I think this species of tree, although it once was in Connecticut, is now native to China, iirc

There are two needle-type (I don't know the difference between pine and fir) trees on campus that lost all their needles last fall. Now the needles are coming back.
Prehistorically, there were decidious pine (or fir) trees all over the northern hemisphere. They were presumed extinct.
